What does HTML5 Capabilities measure?
It measures browser support for established HTML and related web-platform capabilities. It does not measure execution or rendering speed.
How are HTML and web-platform capabilities tested?
The test prefers safe behavioral probes. API-presence checks are used when exercising a feature would require permission, hardware, external traffic, persistent data, or user interaction.
How is HTML5 coverage calculated?
Each testable established capability has equal weight. Checks that are unavailable in the current browser context and all limited-availability checks are excluded from the denominator.
How to interpret the result
The result reports coverage of testable established HTML and web-platform capabilities. Limited-availability and context-dependent checks are reported separately.
