Test methodology
What does Page Load and Responsiveness Capabilities measure?
It measures synchronous DOM update and layout work produced by a fixed sequence of scripted UI operations.
How is the responsiveness diagnostic calculated?
Each sample combines 45% UI work median, 35% UI work p95, and 20% scripted blocking time. The final result is the median diagnostic percentage from three measured samples.
Which page-load metrics are recorded?
The test records TTFB, DOM Content Loaded, load time, FCP, LCP, CLS, Long Tasks, and Long Animation Frames when the browser exposes the required APIs.
Do page-load metrics affect the diagnostic score?
No. They are observations affected by cache, server, network, and deployment conditions. Only the fixed scripted UI workload is scored.
How to interpret the result
The result reports responsiveness for the fixed scripted UI workload. Page-load and presentation metrics provide diagnostic context but do not affect this percentage.
