Test methodology
What does the Canvas Test measure?
It measures browser performance while updating a physics simulation and drawing its visual output through the Canvas 2D API.
How does the Canvas Test work?
The test runs a fixed-step scene for 15 seconds at 1000 x 600. Moving balls interact with boundaries and obstacles while the browser draws shapes, paths, gradients, trails, collision effects, and a perspective grid.
How is the Canvas score calculated?
The test counts completed Canvas drawing primitives and divides that count by elapsed time before applying the official test weight. Higher scores are better.
How to interpret the result
The result reflects Canvas 2D throughput while the browser simulates physics interactions and draws the scene.
