Test methodology
What does the WebGPU Test measure?
It measures sustained rendering performance across the browser WebGPU implementation, graphics driver, and GPU while drawing a detailed physically based 3D scene.
How does the WebGPU Test run?
The test renders 1,060 frames at a fixed 1920 x 1080 internal resolution with a 16:9 camera and device pixel ratio of 1. It uses the same model and scene assets as the corresponding WebGL workload. Renderer setup, asset preparation, and compilation occur before measurement.
How is the WebGPU score calculated?
The test divides the completed frame count by measured rendering duration and applies the official test weight. Higher scores indicate greater frame throughput for the fixed workload.
Does adapter information affect the score?
No. Adapter details are recorded when the browser exposes them, but they are diagnostic information and do not change the performance score.
How to interpret the result
The result reflects sustained WebGPU frame throughput for a fixed-resolution, physically based 3D scene. Higher results indicate faster completion of the same rendering workload.
