What does the SVG Test measure?

It measures how efficiently the browser processes and renders repeated transformations of a large, detailed SVG document.

How does the SVG Test work?

The test loads an embedded OpenStreetMap-based SVG at a fixed 1664 x 1345 viewport. It executes 11 operation cycles containing zoom-out, zoom-in, and pan transformations across different map areas.

What counts as a successful SVG operation?

After applying a transformation, the test reads the SVG element transformation matrix. A result is counted when that matrix differs from the previously recorded state.

How is the SVG score calculated?

The number of distinct applied transformation states is divided by elapsed time and adjusted by the official test weight. Higher scores are better.

Is this an SVG compatibility test?

No. It checks that SVG is available before running, but its result primarily represents transformation and rendering performance rather than overall SVG feature support.

How to interpret the result

The result reflects browser throughput while applying and rendering repeated transformations of a detailed SVG document.
